Convention weekend is a great opportunity for Young Democrats from across the Commonwealth to network with other YDs, hear from dynamic speakers and workshop presenters, meet Democratic Party leaders, and elect next year's KYD leadership team!

HOTEL RATE & BLOCK
KYD will have a room block at the Park's lodge. Reserve your room by calling 1-800-325-0146, ext. 1 or 270-362-4271, ext. 1 and request reservations with the Kentucky Young Democrats, group code 3034.
Rooms are $107 after taxes for two people. Additional people can be added for $10 per person. Our room block closes on March 4th so be sure to get your room reserved!

KYD CANDIDACY
Are you interested in running for KYD Office? At convention this year we will be electing the 2019 Vice President for Programming, Vice President for Recruitment & Expansion, Secretary, and Treasurer.
The official Declaration of Candidacy (PDF) must be filed by March 7. No declarations received after March 7 will be accepted. The declaration form also includes eligibility requirements and descriptions of officer responsibilities.
CONVENTION RESOLUTIONS
Is there an issues you are passionate about? Is there a local party leader or elected official your chapter would like to honor with the designation of Honorary Young Democrat? Did someone in your chapter accomplish something significant this year and you think we they deserve recognition? Then please consider submitting a resolution for the consideration of convention delegates. You can submit your proposed resolutions to the Convention Resolutions Chair at KYDChartering@gmail.com. The deadline for submission is May 15.
2019 KYD AWARDS
Every year the Kentucky Young Democrats Executive Committee recognizes our best and brightest at the state convention. Please consider submitting a nomination (500 words or less) in one or more of the following categories: KYD Member of the Year, KYD Chapter of the Year; College Chapter of the Year; High School Chapter of the Year; KYD Alumni of the Year.
Submit your nominations via the KYD Award Nominations Online Form by March 16.
