2015 KYD State Convention Announcement


Fellow Kentucky Young Democrats, We are gearing up for the 2015 KYD State Convention. Below is some information so you can begin planning to attend. Please stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.


Date: April 17-19, 2015 Location: Georgetown, Kentucky. Best Western Plus Georgetown Corporate Center Hotel, 132 Darby Drive, Georgetown, KY 40324. (Convention room rate is $90/night. You can make your reservation by calling 502.868.0055 - make sure to tell them you are with the Kentucky Young Democrats.) Programming: The convention program will include workshops/trainings on issues important to young Kentuckians, chances to hear from and meet our Democratic candidates for statewide office, the election of KYD state officers, networking opportunities, etc. Please follow us on Facebook  and Twitter  for up-to-date programming information as it becomes available. Registration: Registration will open March 1, 2015. (At this time, we anticipate registration to cost $25.) A link to the online registration page will be made available via email and social media March 1. Chapter Leaders: Prior to convention, local chapters are required to submit a charter application with the KYD Credentials Committee. The deadline to submit this application (without penalties) is March 19, 2015. Please direct any questions regarding this process to KYDChartering@gmail.com. Please review our 2015 Chartering Instructions.  Once you are ready, you can begin the process with our Online Charter Application. Want to run for KYD Office? Please review and submit the 2015 KYD Candidate Declaration Form by March 19, 2015. We are excited to see you all in Georgetown!
