In honor of President Obama's birthday (August 4th), the Kentucky Young Democrats would like to share some information on the Obama for America online campaign tool, Dashboard. Dashboard was launched as the "online field office" of the Obama campaign. The goal is to get people online and direct them towards their local teams, where they will work for our president (so he receives the 270 Electoral College votes he needs to have another term). From the Dashboard webpage (www.barackobama.com/dashboard-signup/#dashboard-signup), you will be directed to sign in with either your mybarackobama.com account or with your facebook information. Once you sign in, you will be assigned to a local team after providing your address and zip code.Then--- the fun begins. You now have access to group resources (like fact sheets), national, statewide, and local updates, your team page, events, and activity feeds. But, wait!! The best parts are yet to come. With the "call" tool, you will be provided with phone numbers of voters and scripts. You can choose where you want to call, from Florida to Minnesota-- or you can call your fellow Kentuckians. Lastly, you can click the "get fired up" button, which will link you to inspiring videos, fact, and photos of the president.
So, click here to sign up. Remember to like Obama for America-Kentucky on Facebook and follow @ofa_ky on Twitter. Happy birthday, Mr. President!
