On Saturday, May 21 the Henderson County YDs will be participating in this event sponsored by Henderson County Judge Executive Hugh McCormick. Come out and help give back to those who have sacrificed so much for this country.

Join the Fayette County YDs for their KYD Day of Unity service project: Garden Pea Pickin!

They will be volunteering in the Seadleaf Community Garden picking peas. Once all the work is done, they will be heading to Third Street Stuff for a snack.

Lexington Herald-Leader: Richie Farmer failed to report personal use of state vehicle for tax purposes

Agriculture Commissioner Richie Farmer failed to report or pay taxes on his personal use of a state vehicle for the past six years, despite repeated warnings from state auditors, according to public records.

Farmer, a Republican candidate for lieutenant governor in the May 17 primary, acknowledges the error. Farmer will get amended wage and tax statements and have an undetermined sum of money deducted from his paychecks in coming months to compensate retroactively for his past failure to pay, said his spokesman, Bill Clary.
