Fancy Farm!

Young Democrat,

I know you are excited about YDA 2011, which is just three weeks away, but another huge event is taking place the weekend after Convention: Fancy Farm 2011!

The Kentucky Young Democrats are invading Fancy Farm again this year on August 5th-6th. We want to have a big turn-out of KYDs to support all of our Democratic candidates, so the costs are being kept at a minimum. Be sure to register today, though, because we have a limited number of spots.

YDA 2011 Convention is Coming up Soon!

 Dear Young Democrat,

The Independent: State expects to end fiscal year $64.6 million in black

The state Budget Office says Kentucky is expected to have a $64.6 million surplus at the end of the fiscal year on June 30. That’s a vast improvement over recent fiscal years in which Gov. Steve Beshear and the Kentucky General Assembly has been forced to make multiple mid-year cuts in spending just to meet the constitutional requirement of ending the fiscal year in the black.
