2013 KYD Award Nominations

I can’t believe the 2013 KYD convention is coming up so soon! At convention each year, we not only elect new officers, but we also honor individuals and chapters that have worked hard for KYD and for Kentucky.

If you are interested in nominating an individual for YD of the Year or KYD Alumni of the Year, or a chapter for Chapter of the Year, College Chapter of the Year, or High School Chapter of the Year, please send your nomination to KYD National Committeewoman, Lauren Ingram Lauren@KyYoungDems.com. Please include your full name, the full name of the chapter individual, contact information, and reasons you think the person or group is deserving of the award.

If you are interested in running for KYD office, please visit www.kyyoungdems.com for the candidate declaration form. It must be received by January 31, 2013.

Don’t forget, if your chapter is chartering this year, charter applications must be received by January 31 in order to receive full votes at convention. Click here for the chartering information.

Registration is open for KYD Convention 2013

Registration for the 2013 KYD Convention is now open! Click here to sign up now.

The $20 registration fee includes breakfast and coffee throughout the day, as well as light appetizers at the closing reception. The entire convention will be held at the downtown Lexington Hilton and general session will begin at 8:30 am. More information regarding speakers and programming will be released in the weeks leading up to convention. On the registration page, there is a link to access the block of rooms reserved for our group at the Hilton in case you are interested in staying on Friday or Saturday evening.

Also, don’t forget, all candidate applications are due by January 31. Chapter chartering applications are also due on January 31 in order for them to receive full votes (you may still submit them at a later date, but there will be vote penalties).
